1 Year Anniversary

I cannot believe my husband and I are approaching our FIRST anniversary! It's crazy to think about how fast this year has gone by. So many memories and lessons learned over the past year. We are no longer considered "newlyweds," but rather "old married people." Oh how things have changed, yet I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. I am blessed beyond measure to be married to such a kind, generous, and loving man. And it totally helps that he's absolutely adorable as well. ;-) The Lord truly knew what He was doing when he put an Oklahoma Country Boy with this City Girl (and I must admit, God truly has displays His great sense of humor through us on a daily basis). So as we approach our first anniversary, I wanted to leave you with some a few of my favorite pictures from our wedding. Enjoy!

It's a Wrap

I am ashamed that I have been so horrible at keeping my blog up to date in the past few months. So much has happened since my last post. 4 Thanksgiving feasts, College finals, the annual Colip Christmas Trip, 6 other family Christmas Events, and all the commotion in between has already come and gone. Lee and I have now officially enjoyed all of your "first" holiday's together as a married couple. So exciting! [With the exception of all of the bowl games--as those can be at times considered a holiday around our football craze house.]

I can not believe that we are welcoming in the new year tonight! Time is flying by... too fast. This has been a very exciting and memorable year for Lee and I. From wedding plans to football championships our days have been full of smiles and unforgettable moments. 2011 is a year we will never forget! So don't waste any more time and make the most of your new year. Don't forget to kiss the one you love at midnight!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Undefeated in Conference

Last night tied up the end of the conference games for Oklahoma Football. I'm so proud to say that our Pirates have gone undefeated in conference! It has been over 11 years since this community was undefeated, undisputed district champions. So exciting to be apart of such a special time around our community. The players are motivated and their excitement is contagious. What a better way for Lee to start off his head coaching career than to be district champions?! I'm so proud of not only Lee, but of all the hard work all of the Gore Pirate Coaches and players have put in thus far. So many hours have been sacrificed by the coaches and their families, but they have not gone unnoticed. This is just one evidential way to see their hard work paying off. And what kind of coach's wife would I be without taking the camera to such a significant game? So here's a little piece of the excitement that went on last night at the Pirate Helm.... Enjoy!

District Champions

As of last night, my husband's football team is District Champs! Yayy!! I'm so proud of all of the coaches and boys who have worked countless hours to get to this point. It's exciting to see the team make a total transformation both on and off of the field. The team has faced many challenges throughout the season, but have kept pushing through no matter the circumstances. So proud of them all! Now it's off to the playoffs! Watch out State, here we come!!

Pumpkin Muffins

As you can see, I have been slacking incredibly bad lately on the blog updates... Phew! School is CRAZY like usual and our football team is undefeated in conference so far. Yayy! Such an exciting, yet stressful time around our house.

With fall in the air, I decided to make Pioneer Woman's Pumpkin Muffin's today for a church gathering. They are to die for... really! And so simple to make.

1 Yellow Cake Mix (I used Duncan Hines Buttery Yellow)
1 Can of Pure Pumpkin
Mix the two together and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. You know it's fully cooked when you can stick a toothpick inside one of the muffins and it come out fairly clean.
These muffins are my husband's favorite! Add a little cream cheese icing and you'll have yourself a fabulous fall desert for any occasion.
