Fall Madness

Although fall may be one of my favorite seasons, it is most definitely the CRAZIEST one around our house. Between trying to keep up with my husband and all of the football events, staying on top of my studies, and continuing all my housewife duties, life gets a little nuts this time of year. Thus, my blog has taken the back burner.

Over the past month we have had several milestones around our house...

First, our sweet dog Ellie Mae turned 2 a few weeks ago. Time has FLOWN by! She is most definitely one of the most spoiled dogs you will ever meet. She has such a personality and will under no circumstances be found jumping into a freezing cold, dirty pond/lake like my husband would like for her to do (She was "his" christmas gift a couple years ago and his intent was for her to be a duck-hunting dog... which she was well on her way to until we got married and I moved into the house. I may have spoiled her and ruined those great intentions. Whoops!)

Happy Birthday, Ellie Mae!

Secondly, my husband got a new truck! If any of you know Lee very well, you know he will never be driving anything but a truck. So after having a few problems with his old truck, we decided to go on ahead and trade it in for a new one. Thus, the tables have turned around our house-- Lee is no longer stealing my Denali-- it's me stealing his truck!
Yes, I am one of those wife's who had to take a picture of him with his new truck before he drove it off the lot. (He wasn't every happy about this picture btw).

And finally, Lee's horse, Colonel Socks, has moved to Gore. After getting injured and in need of daily attention, Lee and I have decided to move ole Colonel to Gore with us. A precious friend has allowed us to keep him in their barn where he has his own stall and run. Colonel thinks he is big stuff now. So I can officially add horse maintenance to the list of daily duties. (You should have seen me going out and feeding Colonel in my stiletto's one morning... You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl. It was quite entertaining to anyone who may have got a glimpse I'm sure).

  1. Oh goodness, Brandon will be soooo jealous! We've been looking at Platinums for the last few months but have yet to find the perfect one... Love the color Lee picked! (I don't blame you for taking the picture, I took a picture of my car when I traded her in because I was so sad to see her go!)

    1. We love it! This particular platinum was a special order that fell through and we happened to come on the lot when it became available. It was definitely perfect timing! I will say though- his car understands my accent better than Lee's. Thus, he doesn't use the voice commands very often. It just frustrates him. haha! He is a little too southern for Ford technology.
